My Skincare Journey
My skincare journey began in 2012 when my grandma suggested I study beauty therapy. At the time, I was already enrolled in Business School, but the first semester was tough due to personal challenges. I promised myself that if the second semester did not go well, I would give beauty therapy a try. By the end of the year, I found myself enrolled in Beauty Therapy School.
Growing up, I struggled with hormonal acne. The only thing that helped was being on the contraceptive pill. It felt like a win because my skin cleared and I felt confident.
After having children, I stopped taking the pill as it was contributing to hormonal pigmentation. My acne returned, and there were times when it felt easier to go back on the pill, but I stayed committed. After a year, my hormones settled. I might experience occasional breakouts, but my skin is now under control. This journey taught me patience, consistency, and the importance of understanding your own body.
Why I Created Enlighten
After more than 10 years in the beauty industry and raising two children, I created Enlighten to share my passion for healthy skin and self-care. Running a small clinic from home allows me to provide a safe, welcoming space where clients can share their concerns. Every client is treated as an individual. From your first consultation to ongoing treatments, I tailor every step to suit your skin and lifestyle. My goal is not just clear skin but helping you feel confident and empowered.
